Building Construction Requirements – The following information details the general building requirements within the Shire of Koorda.
Building Code of Australia Coverage – All residential buildings to be constructed within the District, whether in town sites or in rural areas, require the submission of building plans and specifications prior to the commencement of work.
You must submit plans and obtain a building licence for an outbuilding or swimming pool fence even though they are located in rural areas.
Building service to the Shire of Koorda are contracted offsite as required. Please ensure forms and plans are submitted electronically to admin1@koorda.wa.gov.au and these will be forwarded to the contracted Building Surveyor within 24hours of receipt of information.
Please provide contact details and email contact to allow the process to be resolved as quickly as possible and with the 25 day approval period for un-certified applications.
